Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Answers incoming calls
Listening to voicemails and returning all calls
Route calls to appropriate person/location
Perfect Serve the physician for all urgent matters
Patient lab request/send lab orders to patient/labs/physicians
Check status of radiology orders for patients/physicians
Print and deliver faxes to appropriate person/department
Scanning and attaching chart notes/results as needed
Occasionally cover for front desk in other suites/sites for patient check in
Review Quest trailer for additional coding
Assist with new hire training
Accept and receive incoming packages and deliver to appropriate suite
Any other task your manager or administration asks of you
Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone. Answering and referring to any patient/visitor inquiries.
Optimize patients satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties, answering patients questions, and maintaining the reception area.
Ensures availability of treatment information by preparing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.
Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies
Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.

Qualifications

High school diploma
One year experience in a medical field or one year customer service/call center experience preferred
Bilingual (a plus but not required)
Working knowledge of all Microsoft office computer programs.
Working knowledge of EMR system
Working conditions:

In office position
Basic physical requirements:
Climbing
standing for long periods of time
Stooping
Sitting and typing for long periods of time
Lifting up to 10 lbs

Travel Requirements:

Travel as needed for training and vacation coverage purposes
Compensation:

Non-exempt, hourly position
Hourly range of $18.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience and time with the company .
38-40 hours per week. Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 1 (one) hour lunch break. Fridays 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with a 1 (one) hour lunch break
Full medical coverage for the employee, premium covered at 100% and the employee can choose between Kaiser and Blue Shield Plans.
HSA available to those who chose Blue Shield.
Dependents and Spouses can be added at the employee's expense
Eligible at 60 days


Vision and Dental Plans offered to the employee at the employee expense
Vision plans are included in the Kaiser Medical Plan if you choose Kaiser as your medical insurance.
401k and profit sharing plans available after 1 year of hire
Colonial Life, Accident, Cancer plans offered
Scrub stipend in the spring and fall, $125
Monthly cell phone stipend of $15.00
PTO package-vacation and sick combined. Accrue 1.54 hours per pay period from date of hire. Accrual rate increases at the 1 year, 5 year and 10 year anniversary.
